Introducing Lagu Research Labs

We started Lagu Research Labs in 2025 with a simple conviction: the best software quietly removes friction from everyday life. Not by adding more features, more notifications, or more noise — but by thoughtfully taking work off your plate.

From our base in Bangalore, we set out to build a small family of focused products. Each one starts with a real, everyday problem and stays close to the people who live with it. We would rather do a few things exceptionally well than many things adequately.

Today we build two products. Lagu Events brings event planning into one place, connecting people with verified venues and vendors. Lagu SMS tames a noisy text inbox by automatically sorting the messages that matter. Both reflect the same care for craft, privacy, and simplicity.
